Belgaum is known for its pleasant climate all round the year. Belgaum is at its coldest in winter (November - February temperatures dropping to 9 degrees Celsius, minimum temperature in Karnataka state is usually recorded in Belgaum), and experiences continuous monsoon during July to September. The annual average rainfall is over 150 cm, 1500 mm.
