DWBC - History

History

DWBC used to be a music station since 1988. In 1988, Mickey the Clown from WXB 102 reappeared on DWBC as Mick Flame and hosted a 102-styled show called New Wave Nights with former WXB 102 DJs. In 1995, its format changed to News & Public Service.

Around 2007, it ceased broadcasting due to broadcasting difficulties.

Famous quotes containing the word history:

When the history of guilt is written, parents who refuse their children money will be right up there in the Top Ten.
    Erma Brombeck (20th century)

Three million of such stones would be needed before the work was done. Three million stones of an average weight of 5,000 pounds, every stone cut precisely to fit into its destined place in the great pyramid. From the quarries they pulled the stones across the desert to the banks of the Nile. Never in the history of the world had so great a task been performed. Their faith gave them strength, and their joy gave them song.
    William Faulkner (1897–1962)

The whole history of civilisation is strewn with creeds and institutions which were invaluable at first, and deadly afterwards.
    Walter Bagehot (1826–1877)
