Cheer Team

The 2011 Edmonton Eskimo's Cheer Team was coached by Dianne Greenough, who has 17 seasons as coach/choreographer of the Edmonton Eskimo Cheer Team. She brings 33 years of acrobatic cheer leading expertise with her including numerous City, Provincial, National and International Championships as coach of the well-known Victoria School Co-ed Cheer Team. The 2011 team consists of 38 members male and female. The Esks cheer team trains From January to June in preparation for the football season. Once the season begins, the team is featured in the halftime show of the first game, with 300 performers from the Junior Eskimo Cheer Team, the Eski-Mini Cheer Team and the Eski-Ladies Cheer Team. The Esks Cheer Team also travels to several away games and the Grey Cup each year. The team not only performs at Eskimo home games but it is also available for appearances at charitable, non-profit, community, educational and corporate events throughout the Edmonton, Alberta region.

The Dance Team, travels to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to attend the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Dance Camp in mid-August. This is a workshop geared toward the top dancers in North America which includes 4 days of intense dance training with some of the most talented choreographers in North America. The Stunt Team travels to Dallas, Texas for the NCA College Summer Training Camp & Competition in late July as well They receive 4 days of concentrated training from some of the elite cheer-athletes in North America and compete with some of the top college cheer teams in the USA.
