H&M - Brand

Brand

The branding consultancy Interbrand ranked the company as the twenty-first most-valuable global brand in 2009 and 2010, making it the highest-ranked retailer in the survey. Its worth is estimated at $12–16 billion.

The full company name Hennes & Mauritz was rebranded to H&M to simplify worldwide perception of the brand.

The company owns the two-letter domain hm.com. The domain was registered in the early 1990s, but data on the first registration is lost. In 1998 Hennes & Mauritz was able to buy the domain hm.com from a company called A1 in a non-published domain transaction.

Famous quotes containing the word brand:

I, in my brand new body,
which was not a woman’s yet,
    told the stars my questions
and thought God could really see
the heat and the painted light,
    elbows, knees, dreams, goodnight.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)

Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness.
    Robertson Davies (b. 1913)

“Why does your brand so drop with blood,
    Edward, Edward?
    Unknown. Edward (l. 1–2)
