A card in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, Sun Dragon Inti, is based on this sun god. Also Inti is the name of one of five children in the gatekeeper chronicles (Power of Five), he was from ancient Peru. The author is suggesting that the god is named after the boy.
