- Gonzo journalism - first championed by journalist Hunter S. Thompson, gonzo journalism is a "highly personal style of reporting" in which articles are "written without claims of objectivity, often including the reporter as part of the story via a first-person narrative"
- Drone journalism – use of drones to capture journalistic footage.
