Kamacuras (カマキラス, Kamakirasu?), is a fictional gigantic praying mantis that has appeared in the Toho produced Godzilla series. The name alludes to "kamakiri", the Japanese word for mantis. In its first appearance, the creature was called Gimantis in the U.S. version.
