KCAL-TV is an independent television station in Los Angeles, California. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on VHF channel 9 from a transmitter atop Mount Wilson. Owned by the CBS Corporation (through its CBS Television Stations subsidiary), KCAL-TV is sister to CBS owned-and-operated station KCBS-TV and both stations share studios at the CBS Studio Center in the Studio City section of Los Angeles.
