Agriculture
Agriculture is the main livelihood of Khanpur's residents. Major crops grown in the region are cotton, sugarcane, wheat, rice, and vegetables. Although khanpur was a major cotton area but now it has shifted into a major sugarcane growing region.Due to sugarcane increase sustainable agriculture is in danger. Vegetables are grown widely in scattered areas and green houses are also increasing every year. Among the pioneer's were Al Arabi farm run by Khalid Amin (Arabi) who is a graduate from UAF http://www.uaf.edu.pk/ helped most of the new green house growers with his skills and expertise.
