PPR (company)

Kering (previously known as Pinault-Printemps-Redoute until 18 May 2005 and PPR) is a French multinational holding company which develops a worldwide brand portfolio (luxury, sport & lifestyle divisions and retail brands) distributed in 120 countries. The company was founded in 1963 by the businessman François Pinault and is now run by his son François-Henri Pinault. It is quoted on Euronext Paris and is a constituent of the CAC 40 index.

On the 22nd of March 2013, François-Henri Pinault announced that the group would change its name to “Kering”. This new name will be subject to approval at the Annual General Meeting on 18 June 2013.
