Australia
Price fixing is illegal in Australia under the Consumer and Competition Act 2010 which have considerably similar prohibitions to the US and Canadian prohibitions. The Act is administered and enforced by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Section 48 of the Consumer and Competition Act 2010 (Cth) explicitly states that; "A corporation shall not engage in the practise of resale price maintainence." For a broader understanding of this statuory provision, we refer to Section 96(3)of the Consumer and Competition Act 2010 (Cth) that broadly defines what can and what potentially constitute resale price maintenance.
