Ecology
A number of Procambarus species are troglobitic, living in caves, particularly in karstic areas. These include both species in subgenus Lonnbergius (Procambarus acherontis and Procambarus morrisi) and the single species in the subgenus Remoticambarus, Procambarus pecki.
