Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers (Saint Vincent's) was a healthcare system, anchored by its flagship hospital, St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan, locally referred to as "St. Vincent's". St. Vincent's was founded in 1849 and closed under suspicious conditions in 2010 that triggered an investigation by the District Attorney of Manhattan. Demolition began in 2012 and will be completed by June 2012. Other hospital buildings will be converted into luxury condos and a new luxury building will replace the St. Vincent's building. It was a major teaching hospital in the Manhattan neighborhood of Greenwich Village in New York City.
