Legal Issues
In the United States, firearms with a rifled barrel and a bore diameter greater than 0.5 inches (12.7 mm) are generally considered to be destructive devices under the National Firearms Act, and therefore heavily regulated, while smaller weapons are not. The exception to this is shotguns with rifled barrels for firing shotgun slugs, such as the Paradox gun.
