DVD Releases
In Region 1, BCI/Eclipse, a subsidiary of Navarre Corporation under license from then-rightsholder Chaiyo Productions, released Ultraman on DVD for the very first time in 2 volume sets in 2007. These releases featured the original Japanese soundtrack and the original 1960s American dub. BCI also released a complete series set on October 14, 2008. When Navarre folded BCI/Eclipse in December 2008, the series was shuffled over to Navarre's other home video label, Mill Creek Entertainment. In June 2009, Mill Creek re-released the complete series set on September 29, 2009, in a 4-disc set with the same special features. By that time, rights to Ultraman had reverted to Tsuburaya Productions after a court case.
In Japan, there have been numerous releases in numerous home video formats over the last 25 years (from VHS to DVD) on several labels, including Bandai's various home video divisions, including Bandai Visual.

Famous quotes containing the word releases:
“We need a type of theatre which not only releases the feelings, insights and impulses possible within the particular historical field of human relations in which the action takes place, but employs and encourages those thoughts and feelings which help transform the field itself.”
