Welland's Seaway Mall gained national attention when a flash mob was filmed singing the Hallelujah Chorus in the food court in November 2010. A video of the event went viral on YouTube, gaining 14.4 million views in less than a month. On December 8, Canada AM broadcast a live performance from the same food court, drawing a crowd of about 500 people.
