Z-transform - Linear Constant-coefficient Difference Equation

Linear Constant-coefficient Difference Equation

The linear constant-coefficient difference (LCCD) equation is a representation for a linear system based on the autoregressive moving-average equation.

Both sides of the above equation can be divided by, if it is not zero, normalizing and the LCCD equation can be written

This form of the LCCD equation is favorable to make it more explicit that the "current" output is a function of past outputs, current input, and previous inputs .

Famous quotes containing the words difference and/or equation:

The difference between writing a book and being on television is the difference between conceiving a child and having a baby made in a test tube.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

Jail sentences have many functions, but one is surely to send a message about what our society abhors and what it values. This week, the equation was twofold: female infidelity twice as bad as male abuse, the life of a woman half as valuable as that of a man. The killing of the woman taken in adultery has a long history and survives today in many cultures. One of those is our own.
