Zionist entity (Arabic: الكيان الصهيوني, al-kayan al-Sahyūnī/Suhyūnī ) is a phrase used by Arabs and Muslims as a pejorative for the State of Israel. Some commentators, including Getzel M. Cohen, have noted that many Arab and Palestinian spokespeople have stopped calling the State of Israel by its name and have reverted to the expression 'the Zionist entity'.
